Logan Paul’s Bad Judgment in Japan
Former Vine star and current YouTuber Logan Paul is no stranger to controversy, but he reached a whole new level in 2018 with the upload of his Japan trip vlog, aptly titled “We found a dead body in the Japanese Suicide Forest…” Classy, right?
As the title suggests, Paul came across a corpse hanging from a tree in Japan’s infamous “suicide forest,” recorded it and blasted to his millions of YouTube followers – many of them underage. Paul received thousands of angry messages on social media from fans and celebrities – including Aaron Paul and Sophie Turner – accusing him of mocking suicide and mental health issues, while YouTube received criticism for not removing the video and failing to police insensitive and disturbing content. The brand ultimately made the decision to cut ties with Logan Paul.
The best part? Paul’s backhanded Twitter “apology” in which he insists that he’s “never made a mistake like this before” and sounds more sorry that he got caught than anything. Please influencers, don’t be like Logan Paul.
