Ah, the Oscars. For a select few, there is a reason to see 10 movies in a row and channel your inner film critic by providing classy commentary about the plot and pacing. For the rest of us, they’re an excuse to sit on the couch with snacks and judge Rachel Weisz’s outfit. Seriously, what was she thinking this year? 

The 92nd Academy Awards will be held on February 9, 2020 – the earliest it’s ever been – and the competition is strong. 2019 was an outstanding year in entertainment – with no shortage of superheroes and films that make us laugh, cry and audibly gasp in the theater, often all at once (looking at you, Joker).
