Luka Sabbat Looks the Other Way
Luka Sabbat’s future as an influencer isn’t looking so bright after he failed to put on his shades from Snapchat! The Grown-ish actor entered a $60,000 deal with Snap Inc’s PR firm to promote their Spectacles product – which required a minimum of four posts to his Instagram during the 2018 NYC fashion show season – plus being photographed in public donning the glasses. It didn’t quite work out that way.
Sabbat didn’t follow through on all of these terms, and Snap Inc’s PR firm ended up suing him for breach of contract and walking away with unearned cash. This influencer fail caused embarrassment for both Snap Inc and Sabbat, and it seems like the latter didn’t learn his lesson. A similar lawsuit was filed against him by streetwear brand Konus in 2019 for failing to follow through on an influencer agreement.
