Unsettled Tom
Although this image has been around for several years, it didn’t gain mainstream popularity as a meme until earlier in this one. Featuring Tom, from the classic cartoon Tom and Jerry, the captions often refer to somewhat unconventional behavior revealed to occur at very inappropriate times or places.
In response, an extreme close up of Tom’s face gives a look that definitely says “WTF?” The format for this one doesn’t seem to vary as much as other popular memes, staying pretty true to its original iteration, with much of the changes being made to how Tom is drawn. Although most memes reach the point where its subject matter is off color, this one, by nature of how its jokes work, begins that way. This meme peaked in May interest in it quickly dropped off after that.
